My name is Jo and I provide an affordable, flexible and reliable dog walking  and pet sitter service in and around Gloucester. 

No dog is too big or too small!

I am here to take the pressure off you when you are unable to walk your special furry friend for whatever reason even at short notice if viable. I know how important they are to you so will always take extra special care of them.


My dog walks are tailored for small group walks or solo walks.  There can be as little or as much socialisation with other dogs as you request. We all have different needs just as our dogs do. I work not just to make your dog happy but you happy too.  I have experience and am happy to work with nervous, anxious and reactive dogs. 

I offer solo walks and small group walks. Keeping the group walks reasonably small then allows each dog to have my full attention.  I aim to give your dog the most enjoyable walk possible and like to match dogs energy levels for group walks. 

There are benefits of group walks as it allows dogs to interact with other dogs and enjoy some play time. It helps dogs burn off their energy and it can allow shy dogs to gain more confidence. 

If your dog is not keen on mixing with other dogs then this is when a solo walk is more beneficial.  I would take your dog on a quieter walk to suit their needs and allow him/her to benefit from one to one attention.  If you want your dog to be walked alone but still interact with other dogs now and again that can be done too. 

Having had experience with several reactive dogs, I am more than happy to work alongside you with yours, using CARE and any training programme you have already in place.

I am also here to take the worry away from you leaving your pet alone all day. Whilst visiting them I will let your furry friend out, play with them, feed them and top up their water. For puppies and young animals I am happy to change their puppy pads or litter trays and check their play pens.

I offer 30/45/ 60 minute walks to match your dog's energy levels. I will ensure during their walk they are exercised well and stimulated so when your furry friend is returned home he/she is content and happy to have a snooze till you return home. Your dog will be given a quick rub down if wet and I will check that they have fresh water available. 

I offer dog walking, dog visits, cat and small animal visits.  I treat every animal as my own so you can relax in the knowledge they are well cared for and happy.

How it works


Meet and Greet

Dog Walks

 After making initial contact and finding out your requirements for your dog, I would arrange a home visit to get to know you and your dog, go through any questions you may have and complete the necessary paperwork.

I appreciate how special your dog is to you and want to make sure that all his/her needs are going to be catered for. 

I would then arrange a meet and greet with your dog and  any other dogs that he/she may be walked with.  This would be at a time convenient to yourself and on neutral ground.

This service is free of charge.


Walks

Solo Walks 

If your dog is not a fan of mixing with other dogs or has some reactive issues that need ongoing work then solo walks would often be the answer for him/her.

Taking him/her on a quieter walk where CARE could be continued would be beneficial. A quieter walk would enable him/her to become more relaxed enabling him/her  to slowly build confidence.  

Group Walks

I like to keep my group walks small so that each dog gets my full attention. Normally I will do 3 at a time but on occasions would go up to 4 by arrangement.  I like to match dogs with similar needs and personalities so they get the most from their walks. 

No matter whether you choose a group or solo walk, I always vary the places I walk them so each walk is an adventure. 

I will only let dogs off lead with your permission and in suitable places.



Pet Sitting

Puppies, dogs, cats, small animals

I am also here to take the worry away from you leaving your pet alone all day. Whilst visiting I  them I will let your furry friend out, play with them, feed them and top up their water.

For puppies and young animal I will change their puppy pads or litter trays/cages and check their play pens.

30 Minute Solo Walk/45 Minute Walk/60 Minute Walk

Your dog will have my undivided attention on one of these walks. I  will pick your dog up and take him/her on one of  the many  enjoyable walks in our area. If you have a particular walk you wish them to go on then  I am more than happy to do this walk for you. On return he/she will be dried off,  given fresh water and settled.

30 Minute Group Walk 

60 Minute Group Walk 

Your dog will be walked with up to threeother dogs. He/she will be picked up and safely  escorted in my car to one of the many walks I know. On return he/she will be dried off, given fresh water and settled before I leave.

Puppy/Dog Visit

This visit will be 30 minutes and include letting them out, feeding them, fuss andenrichment All visits would be tailored to your particular needs.
